Missing at sea...

The two fishermen from Mullaithivu had been missing in the sea since 26th of January 2006. Thirty nine year old Stanley Jeyakumar and his friend forty two year old Anthonipillai Soosainathan went for fishing in Mullaithivu sea. They are still missing.

The fishermen of Mullaithivu have suffered during the war. And later affected by the 2004 December Tsunami. They have received boats and fishing nets. But they are frustrated and say that, would have been better, if they were killed in the Tsunami.

"My younger brother who is missing lost his wife in the Tsunami. Now he is missing. He has three children.Who is going to look after them?" queries fifty two year old Anthonipillai Sepagnanam

The fishermen say that, they are frightened to go to the sea now

The fishermen stopped going to the sea in the night

"I did not know that, my father was going to the sea. I am missing him, and I want him to return safely to me soon" says five year old Jeyakumar Laiban

The fishermen say that, they want permanent peace
